His Grace Dorotheos, Bishop of Rogon, according to the world, Dimitrios Ligos, was born in Piraeus in 1947, where he finished his studies. In 1978 he was tonsured a Monk, then ordained a Deacon and presbyter, he was elevated to Archimandrite by the blessed Archbishop Auxentios. Since 1986, he had served as secretary under the Metropolitan of Acharnes, His Grace is the founder and spiritual father of the holy women’s monastery of Panagia Kanala in Attica, as well as Abbot of the holy monastery of the Ascension of the Lord in Euboea. Because of his intellectual activity and his charitable work, he received various acknowledgements from municipal and other authorities. In 2014, he was elected and consecrated Bishop of the Diocese of Rogon by His Beatitude the Archbishop of Athens and all Greece Makarios and the Holy Synod.
