The Holy Orthodox Metropolis of Mityana warmly invites all Orthodox Christians, pilgrims, families, friends of the Church, and members of the wider community to celebrate the Feast of St. Nektarios and Pilgrimage on Sunday, 22 November 2026.

The celebration will take place at the Holy Orthodox Metropolis of Mityana Cathedral, Kawanga Hill, bringing the faithful together for prayer, worship, and spiritual fellowship in honour of St. Nektarios.

The day’s programme will include the Divine Liturgy at 9:00 AM, providing an opportunity for the faithful to participate in the sacred worship of the Orthodox Church, give thanks to God, and renew their spiritual commitment.

St. Nektarios is widely honoured in the Eastern Orthodox Christian tradition for his holiness, humility, patience, and steadfast faith in God. His life continues to inspire Christians to persevere through difficulties, practise love and forgiveness, and remain faithful in their spiritual journey.

This pilgrimage offers an opportunity for the faithful to gather in unity, seek spiritual renewal, and strengthen their relationship with God through prayer and participation in the life of the Church. It is also a special moment for families and communities to share fellowship and reflect on the importance of faith in everyday life.

All are warmly invited to join this special celebration. Orthodox faithful, friends of the Church, and members of the public are encouraged to participate in the pilgrimage and Divine Liturgy.
