The Divine Liturgy is the center of Orthodox Christian life. It is not merely a weekly gathering but a sacred participation in the eternal worship of God. When the faithful gather for the Liturgy, they step into a mystery that unites heaven and earth.
Through hymns, Scripture readings, incense, and prayer, the Church prepares hearts to receive Christ. The climax of the Divine Liturgy is the Holy Eucharist, where bread and wine become the true Body and Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ through the invocation of the Holy Spirit. This Holy Mystery nourishes believers spiritually and strengthens their unity as one Body in Christ.
In Uganda and throughout the world, the Divine Liturgy remains the fountain of grace, forgiveness, and transformation. It calls the faithful to repentance, thanksgiving, and renewed commitment to Christian living.
